Admission essay excerpt

I remember having to sit in front of a panelist during one of my interviews.  Young and quite inexperienced back then, I was too nervous that my palms are all cold and sweaty.  I have no idea what sort of questions will be thrown at me or if my response would be acceptable to the meticulous interviewers.  The panelist then asked me where I see myself 10 years from now.  With a spark of hope and evident enthusiasm, I told her that I want to be a director of my own company.  This is something that I’ve always wanted and dreamed of even when I just started doing secretarial work.  I was determined to rise from the ranks and be an accomplished woman in my own way.  Now a mother of two, I’m proud to say that I was able to realize that vision as the finance director of my own company.
