I read this essay
regarding a person who turned out to be a lawyer and I was amazed on how he
turned out well after pursuing what he really wants. Whether you are a doctor
or a lawyer does not really matter as long as you are happy in what you do.
I know a lot of people who are forced to take up something
they do not want to take in the first place. Parents can be so influential
after you graduate in high school and they tend to decide what you are going to
take in college. I was once a victim of it, but the good thing about my course
was that I finished what they wanted me to take. The best part of it was I
began to love what I do and I was lucky I liked the profession. But there are
also B sides of every story, not all people want what their parents like them
to take. Take this guy for example, he was not satisfied in what he did and I
guess I couldn’t blame him for that.
Every body has the right to have what he wants and it does
not mean that you need to focus on one thing at a time. I mean you can be a
doctor and a lawyer at the same time. It only takes a lot of courage and a lot
of thinking in what career path you wanted to choose. The best thing about
choosing things is that you chose them because you are happy with it.
Things happen because they are meant to happen. Deciding
what you want defines you as a person and it takes time to realize things like
this. Nevertheless, a person is determined by who he is and what he does.
